Sig Delt Shake Down

Delta Gamma offers to women of all ages a rich heritage based on principles of personal integrity, personal responsibility and intellectual honesty. Its primary purpose is to foster high ideals of friendship, promote educational and cultural interests, create a true sense of social responsibility, develop the finest qualities of character, and inspire our members to “Do Good” throughout the world.

 

Sticking true to our motto, Delta Gamma puts philanthropy and service hours as a high priority. Our national philanthropy, Service for Sight, is an organization that assists the visually impaired and raises awareness for vision health. To support Service for Sight, the Eta-Beta chapter at the University of Hartford holds major campus fundraising events like Anchorman and Anchorsplash.

 

In addition to these special events, members frequently volunteer at local senior citizen’s homes, participate in Boston's Annual Vision Walk, promote sight preservation through awareness events, and provide assistance to children and adults who are blind or visually impaired. Raising between $2,000.00-$3,000.00 for the Delta Gamma Foundation each year, the Eta-Beta chapter is proud to be making a difference in the world.
